Think if the money spent on the fake crap had been put into the rest of this v8 Feiro too? You are on to something here.

“Do you really need a car that goes faster than 90 miles per hour”?

I’m not a big fan of all the purples, but some of these examples (and in the comments) are fantastic. For me, I like to see any actual colors on cars... the blacks/whites/grays are just too boring anymore.

But they paid a consultant millions for the idea of “e-tron”... they can’t give that up!

Battery development/progress. You find the next company to make significant breakthroughs, better buy that stock.

That’s fair. If you are offering two powertrains for one vehicle, an extender is typically easy to add... so I was simply thinking of this as the more likely situation going forward. Fair point though.

Agree with you on your post... except the naming. Manufactures are going to call things whatever they think will make them the most profit. Think how they stick “coupe” to anything these days they can get away with... then charge a bit more and voila... happy shareholders. Even if the names make no real sense, like

But range extension isn’t about being more efficient, it’s about removing/reducing range anxiety. Which, real or not, is a legitimate concern for many buyers.

To avoid a lawsuit. To treat customers decently. I know, maybe not things Dodge cares about... but they should.

I go back to how lazy Dodge was on this... that is, they could have just made some small changes and completely gotten away with it. Could have had a different name, slightly less HP, some other special edition items. It still would be annoying to owners that bought the 2021, but it just shows how little even Dodge

No worries, I wasn’t offended. And I completely understand what you mean... but there can still be things like pedestrian/bike/bus only roads, better visibility near intersections, better signaling... things like that can make a dent. I was just meaning if you put a 15mph speed limit on a city street, people will

One thing not mentioned that I think is more favorable, (as in people aren’t giving up their giant trucks... and nobody will drive 15 mph anyway) is to design streets with fewer car-pedestrian interactions.

What gets me about these high priced/low mileage cars is that: If you buy it to actually drive it, the value will plummet. If you buy it to just keep it garaged and maybe resell it higher later on, at that point who cares how good of a drivers car it is... it’s just a piece of art at that point. If I’m buying art, I’d

My state too, but police are exempt from it.

Interior looks nice, and most of the exterior. That massive lower grill is pretty nasty though. I bet it improves with darker paint colors though.

Not a terrible idea, assuming I get to set the price. If you think I’m being greedy, go see what companies are charging consumers now to charge their cars. Once you’ve tackled that issue, then EV owners might be interested.

Watching them like this I agree. The acceleration doesn’t get boring when you use one.

This was my point. There are many situations for many people. Mine is one, yours is one, etc..

I drive an EV as my primary car, but my wife has an ICE car so if I need longer range, we can just switch. Therefore, I don’t need a big range in my car. I would just disagree with the “most” comment above, as in there are many different needs and situations that you can’t put people in just one box, (or even 2 or 3).

The range question is entirely dependent on your situation. If you have an ICE vehicle in the garage along with the EV, then 150 - 200 mile range will likely be just fine for you. If it’s your only vehicle, then it depends on how you use the car, but for most people you are going to look at 300+ miles for range. There
