Atlanta is taking a two year gap—I’d imagine it’s cuz Donald Glover’s got so many irons in the fire—but they have been approved for S3.

My sister and her dumb new boyfriend told me this Christmas that they didn’t like it and I made a mental note to never trust them again.

That sounds awesome. I love it when good cooks throw down together. We’re all pretty good in my family and Thanksgiving is like our Superbowl.

My brain is still on vacation and I thought the request was for tonight and my heart leapt as I imagined the base trying to figure out the wisdom of the great leader in being the middle of the College Football Chapionship.

I listened to the podcast The Dollop did on this company (they are also the Pom people and have a California pistachio empire . . . did you know each nut takes a gallon of water to grow?!? . . . I digress) the bad dealings of these folks with the Figians is disgusting.

My sister and I were once at a kinda twee bar in Nashville that provided postcards and instructions to “Write your mom” and then promised to mail them. I think my sister wrote something like, Hi, Mom, We’re in a bar. Nashville is nice. Love, Us. I was very surprised and my mother was confused when it actually showed .

Oh, god, they’re going to do sometihng terrible like a Maroon 5/Superbowl Gospel Choir (yes, that’s a thing) mash-up to stretch out the time and get more black people on stage.

Had Christmas dinner with my Boomer dad the other night and me and all my siblings agreed that we were relieved not to have kids ‘cuz we’d be even more depressed about climate change. My dad—sucessful attorney, married to someone 11 years older than me, three motorcycles and an SUV—got mad at us for saying it, and

Well, prosecution of white collar crime is really low. They probably figured this would be the same as all the corrupt nonsense they’d been pulling off for years.

He lost in a run off at the beginning of the month. We’re doomed to be held hostage by rural mouth-breathers.

I would have put Maggie Gyllenhaal’s performance ahead of Amy Adams for an HBO series. She’s been fantastic on The Deuce this season . . . it still has 200% too much James Franco, but that’s not her fault.

I didn’t know what you were referring and Googled. Holy shit, that’s a crazy story!

I realized recently that I’ve read excepts and listened to the author (that is a man to lead revolutions, we were ready to rise up when he was done speaking) but I hadn’t completed Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption by Bryan Stevenson. Oof. That book is great and heartbreaking and beautifully written.

God bless fired-up ladies of a certain age. Truly, they are the cardigan-wearing thin line between us and hell fire.

. . and when the phone turned out to be him mom’s? *kisses fingertips* Delicious.

Oh, and I follow local news outlets, cuz I’m not real good about finding out about nearby murders and city hall corruptions on my own.

I like it, but I think it depends how you use it. I follow a lot of labor economist and workforce development foundations (as that relates to my job) and they post a bunch of links to research papers and relevant information for my field. I ain’t got time to research all that by myself.

Yeah, this season was great!

She 100% should have hit it and quit it with Declan.

You’re a darling nerd.
