Every hospital and clinic I’ve ever worked at asks this, at least of employees if not visitors. Most people ignore the rule though, and I do too. But I wear so little that most people never even notice (I just like to smell it myself!) and it wears off after a few hours. We still get employees that douse themselves

Welsh people are British. They are not english, which is what he is playing in Death Comes to Pemberly

Sleeper agent for the British

I knew he was Welsh but I’d never seen him interviewed before so last night was the first time I heard him talk with THAT ACCENT and OMG, I swooooooned.

I’ve been noticing more and more that when a couple is declared to be IRL-OTP or whatever, their facial features will be eerily similar. I mean, just look at these two. It’s like the easiest way to determine your ultimate soulmate is to just search for someone who could be your sibling but isn’t, and ta-da! True love.

The key is that the human body is not perfect. It’s a work in progress, so there’s no one thing about us that can possibly be “perfect.” Not to mention that there are billions of us and none of us are exactly the same.

I knew I’d heard of this before. Here’s a review I found when I got curious about how it works vs. how the bags coffee comes in works, and discovered it’s really just a bunch of voodoo and mumbo jumbo. A lot of their claims don’t even make sense: http://www.frcndigital.com/coffee/friis.html

CO2 is not the problem - oxygen is. Freshly-roasted beans vent CO2 though, which is why valves are needed on coffee bags used by roasters - so the escaping gases don’t bust the bag open (or break your canister, jar, etc.)

I don’t recommend waterproof shoes. If any water does get inside of the shoe, it takes forever to dry. They’re also a lot hotter. The regular version of the XA Pro 3Ds are better IMO. They’re breathable for warm weather but you can throw on thicker socks when you’re in colder climates.

People wear sneakers, which are different than big NB style running shoes. Last time I was in Europe everyone loved to point out that that’s how they knew I was Americans. I bought Adidas sneakers to blend in.

Err, people wear trainers as street fashion throughout the world.

To be honest, I’d actually say the opposite. Provided you’re going to a Large European or other well developed country you’ll be able to get shoes at local stores.

I can guarantee you that no one cares what you’re wearing on your feet as long as they’re not some fluorescent pink or orange :) I have a pair of all black Nikes that I’ve worn everywhere and frankly if anyone cared, it’s their problem, not mine. :)

I can’t wear merino wool anywhere but on my feet. For some reason my skin is irritated when I wear merino underlayers or sweaters but not with socks. Most “merino wool” socks are a blend of fine wool and synthetic fibers anyway so they aren’t 100 percent wool.

Yes! Switching from cheap, cotton socks bought by the dozen at Costco to good socks has been life-changing for me. Some people don’t understand how you can spend $15 on a single pair of socks, but good socks are well worth the investment.

Just to check, have you tried *merino* wool socks? Merino is a finer wool and much more tolerable for sensitive skin. I used to hate wool until I discovered merino. Now, all my socks as merino (Darn Tough brand, which lasts far longer than Smartwool, a popular choice).

As much as I like boots, as someone who travels carry-on only, I’d hate to try to fit those in my bag when I’m wearing sandals in a warm-weather climate.

I just spent 10 months travelling around Europe with only carry-on (not backpacking). I left with the following shoes:

So, what about non-sneaker-based shoes to wear with skirts and dresses?
