Wait, where can I get the fucking attachment for my Kitchen Aid? I’m... intrigued.
unlike my kitchen aid mixer which has fucked me more times than I can count.
Actually no, not about attack us. We are talking about Amy here, not Grace. Amy was not assaulted by AA. This is about what Amy should do. She has been told she should end her friendship and cut him off or whatever. I’m suggesting there is another path, one that hopefully leads to more men understanding how their…
I feel like this comment is exactly part of the problem when it comes to allowing victims to speak without judgement. She was a victim of whatever and you still throw in a “yeah but...”. Isn’t that part of what we want to eliminate? She was a victim... and that is the only context that matters on this.
I get what you’re saying, especially in regards to Nikki. One of the (numerous) reasons I will never run for office is my parent.
I (kind of) agree. As long as they’re not shaming or harassing the victim, I wouldn’t expect someone to immediately turn on somebody they’ve known and loved for a long time based on the word of a stranger.
Unpopular Opinion: You cannot shame or criticize victims, but I think there is room to just believe people you care about. I don’t think it’s okay for Keaton to go after Dylan Farrow, but I do think it’s okay that she believes Allen and is wrong. I also think it’s okay that Nikki Minaj never spoke out against her…
I think if we are going to cut off every guy who has ever done something borderline amiss we are going to be incredibly lonely people. I don’t think the answer is ostracism. There needs to be dialogue. Guys feel cornered and will act defensively when confronted. That, for some reason, is almost the universal human…
and my hand slid up inside the blouse a few inches and touched her bare shoulder.
“...I put my hand on her back, to reassure her that her work was okay, and my hand slid up inside the blouse a few inches...”
I know, right? Does anyone thing MPR wanted to fire its most popular and famous star? Does anyone thing they were waiting for some woman to talk about how she felt not-so-great about that one time he touched her back and dumped all the stuff from his desk on the curb in a cardboard box and then sat back and cackled,…
Yeah. What an awful workplace. Knowing that as a woman with IBS or gas issues, that people in the office would be talking behind your back like that.
I, for one, am shocked this was never about his disingenuous story where he accidentally and inadvertently touched one woman’s back that one time.
Uh, maybe there was a reason.
Keillor told MPR News, “I’ll be able to tell my side of the story at length, in my own words, in due course, and that’s sufficient for me.”
This.
This is what gets to me about this story. He apologized and left her alone. What else does she want out of this? If there are multiple stories that show a pattern from Aziz, then let’s hear that. I’m sorry she had to go through this on a date but I also don’t know what recourse she wants from him.
She also expressed her feelings to him the next day. He heard her out and apologized. I see no reason to doubt the sincerity of his apology. His statement on the matter affirms that he took her words to heart.
