Stuffing? Seriously? For some people (my wife), stuffing is the most critical side dish.

I have to whole heartedly disagree with buying mashed potatoes and mac n cheese. they are both super basic to make at home, cost next to nothing, and taste way better than anything you can get premade.

Every year there’s usually one of both at our table. There’s the ocean spray jelly and the from scratch fancy cranberry sauce. I always take both to be polite because I know a lot of work goes into making the scratch one, but I prefer the jelly.
