And yet it doesn’t make consoles powerful, consoles are always significantly weaker than similar PCs.

Any decent system you buy today will run everything for years unless you are trying to set the bar really high, 4k etc. The myth of PCs needed to be seriously upgraded every year to not go obsolete is nothing but that, a total myth used to justify console purchases.

The issues with Arkham Knight were only at launch and most of the issues were only on some systems. The game is fine now.

4.2 tflops isn’t even up to the bar set by the 470 (AMDs current budget GPU). This is budget hardware, nothing special.

It pushed out a game that bests even PC releases (Uncharted 4).

That is a confusing statement to make, how did a PS4 exclusive best PC releases? There is no Uncharted 4 for PC so there can be no comparison.

Fancy hardware techniques? You do know the system is running budget AMD graphics hardware right? The system just isn’t all that powerful.

Not easier for everyone, PC gaming is plenty easy enough for a lot of us.

NMS would have made so much more sense as a $20 early access game.

I am pretty sure the trailer made it very clear they are going for historical theme, not accuracy. It is a lot of fun though, much more fun than the usual modern warfare setting.

There are so many perfectly valid reasons for “tampering” with game files like widescreen patches, mods, post processing graphics injection, countless minor game fixes that will eventually appear in official patches…
