There are so many perfectly valid reasons for “tampering” with game files like widescreen patches, mods, post processing graphics injection, countless minor game fixes that will eventually appear in official patches…

I could only make myself sit through two episodes. 9/10 seems crazy high, like, I could maybe see an argument for 4/10 even though I wouldn’t go higher than 3/10. Certainly no 5/7 though.

I have read the manga and have watched and enjoyed (with a bit of cringing) the 90s anime and the movies and yet, after the first episode of this new anime there is zero chance I am watching the rest of the series. It is easily the ugliest anime I have watched in years.

Worse. Honestly the 3D animation in the movies is a big step up from what is in the new show.
