hi yoga nerd md, so I have a straight up, no snark question about the lavender essential oil. Does this mean I shouldn't use a body scrub or body lotion that has lavender in it bc it's an irritant?

Lavender oil or extract is a skin irritant. It doesn't bother me at all when used in tiny amounts in a body lotion or lip balm or perfume (and I freaking adore lavender lip balm), but I would not put straight lavender oil on my face.
I want to second another commenter's recommendation of Tarte's Lights Camera Lashes. Best vegan mascara I've found. (Also, I found that, for me, Josie Maran's argan oil mascara was a clumpy disaster giving a bad name to vegan beauty products. It made me angry that I bought it.)
