I'm embracing the changes. In general, my habits haven't changed, but that's because it's not as different as people seem to think. I use some Metro apps, but they're usually better than whatever desktop counterpart exists (like Tweetro instead of TweetDeck). However, I spend most of my time on the desktop. I pin my

No you don't.... Flash, yes because it was discontinued for Linux beside Chrome. Firefox should get updates because it updates several times within a release cycle.

Hopefully this isn't over because I have a couple real questions. What IDE do you use and what do you do for "cloud storage" aka syncing files across computers?

Do you have a link to that wallpaper? It's fantastic.

Do you have a link to that wallpaper? It's pretty slick.

Sort of. Oracle was trying to leverage more of their control into OpenOffice after a while. That's why the devs left, not because it was purchased. Afterwards, Oracle realized their mistake and tried to give it back to the community. Needless to say, it was too late.

My thoughts exactly. The Beautiful Widgets information is useless without the skin's name.

I don't see why this is liked so much anymore. It's very intrusive. I tried it again today, and it installed several apps. It even tried to take control of Plume's updates. I want a launcher, not a Store and all the other apps it installed.

If you get a netbook, I'd go with an AMD APU. Why you may ask? Because AMD has much better GPUs because they own ATI. I have both a Cr-48 with an Intel Atom, and a netbook with an AMD C-50. The C-50 is only clocked at 1.0Ghz whereas the Atom is 1.66Ghz. The AMD performs much better and can even run full blown Windows

I was excited until I clicked the link and saw it wasn't Ubuntu and Unity. Too bad more people don't post Linux setups. Some can look really cool.

In my opinion, T-Mobile's "unlimited" is better than Verizon and AT&T's tiered because you aren't charged for going over. On other carriers, you are charged tremendously if you go past your cap. On T-Mobile, you just don't have the service really anymore instead of paying more. It's not cool to call it unlimited, but

It's the reverse for me. It's not necessarily fanboys. I genuinely prefer stock ICS to MIUI and it performs way better because most ICS ROMs don't work correctly on my phone besides CM9.

The Evo 4G from 2010 is even easier to root. It's one of the most popular devices in terms of ROMs. I'm sure there's a way on XDA or RootzWiki. If it's like my Vivow, it involves downgrading the boot loader because the update to Gingerbread changed it.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), which is stock. AOKP is also based on AOSP. Just because they both are, doesn't make CM based on AOKP. For the record, CM has been around for several Android releases and AOKP just popped up in ICS. Other ROMs exist that are based on AOSP like Liquid and

Without any research, I'm pretty sure the method to root the Evo 4G (2010) is similar to the Vivow. You have to downgrade the boot loader to get S-OFF. We've had to do that since Gingerbread. Plus, I'm sure it's officially unlockable (it's still S-ON) with HTC's tool.

Check RootzWiki. There's usually unofficial ROMs for devices that the CM9 team hasn't gotten to yet.
