Most of those are really unnerving.. Especially Totoro! I love the Castle in the Sky robot though.

It was just weird!

Jessica Brown Findlay is written out of Downton Abbey so there's no reason she couldn't do Captain America. She's great, I'd love to see her get some big roles.

So, how expensive is a Faraday cage anyway? Is it possible to install them into existing buildings, or at least around the most vital equipment, like generators and life support equipment? And does everyone military with a bit of money and a reasonable amount of paranoia already have them?

Totally agree. Best argument so far.

You're right. It's the aliens massing with us again...

Hahaha, is that real? I kinda wouldn't be surprised if it was. :)

Vestigial arms I guess. Given a few more thousands of generations, maybe they would have lost them completely. Why did they walk on two legs though? I never understood that part.

True. But maybe Richard Armitage never read The Silmarillion and he got the wrong impression.

Absolutely! Adds so much personality to the article.

Those nests are worth huge amounts of money. The first time I was in Thailand I was told to stay away from one of the islands I could see from the beach because it was guarded by armed men. Corporations would rent the island for a year or two at a time because it was swallow habitat, and they'd make a killing from it.

Good to know I'm not crazy. :)

I'd agree except that Maine Coons are pedigree cats with owners who feed and breed them. That said, is it allowed in cat shows? Because then it would probably have developed before they were considered a breed and you'd be right. Would be interesting to know what the occurence is among ferals and normal housecats that

Did I dream, or did I see an almost identical article yesterday? A lot of the same pictures too.

That's interesting, thanks. Maybe they would never have spread at all without those sailors. I don't think the extra toes are very good for them after all. I've seen a few with ingrown claws and it can get pretty nasty.

Any information on whether polydactyl cats in Europe are the same as in America? They're pretty common. We always used to call them ship's cats.

The only reasonable explanation I can think of is that tortoiseshells and calicos are almost always female, and I have the impression that female cats are generally a bit more aloof than males. Not always, but it's a trend I've noticed.

In action movies the hero will kill the bad guy after a fair fight, then go have lunch... I can't remember an action movie where the bad guy is unconscious and the hero puts him down in cold blood. Except maybe if it's a case of anti-hero more than hero. I do kind of wish Rosen had done it though. The fall-out would

They've been doing this with mice for years, with a really good success rate. According to the people who taught me to do it (heh heh!) as long as the eggs are frozen correctly and are kept at constant -190C or so temperatures, preferably in liquid nitrogen, they can stay frozen inevitably with no reduction in
