I get that. Simple can be really good though. My favorite meals are simple, it’s just having good ingredients that matters. The hardest part for me is doing the meal planning and grocery shopping. That takes a lot more time!

Good. I’ll be rested and well fed on microwaved baked potatoes by then. Plenty of carbs. YUM.
I was replying to the JujyMonkey who didn’t think it was possible to cook anything in under 30 minutes. It’s actually pretty simple if you keep your ingredients simple and don’t try to do anything really fancy.
Really? I do it frequently. Salmon with a salad on the side and a microwaved-baked potato can be done in about 15 minutes start to finish. A nice sausage cooks up in a few minutes and you can heat up some frozen veggies and again, a baked potato/sweet potato. Burgers don’t take that long either. Tacos take a little…
This baby has some serious eyeliner game. I’m pretty jealous.
I'm from Upstate NY. There are PLENTY of people who will just bring their children and in my family, it is the way things are. Make sure you spread it out to the family that you can't accommodate kids and definitely address the invitation to ONLY the parents.
We also had an evening wedding, which made it easier to say "no kids." You have to stay hard and fast with that too. I love kids and I love the kids in my family, but if you invited one, then there's no leverage to say that the others can't come. It's not that I didn't want them there, it's that we had a small venue…
If you did, we tracked it and you should be getting a Thank You card in the mail soon :)
I have 55 first cousins. My husband has roughly 20. I luckily live about an 8 hour drive from a lot of my family so we held it where I currently live and not where I grew up. This helped. My mother also agreed to let me not invite her side of the family because it would be too much of a burden on them, so she threw…
He actually really just wants to wait for Daryl and Carol; not just NOT go to DC.
PIttsburgh is actually a nice blue-ish dot in PA and our new mayor is awesome.
I did go to one wedding that was lovely, but we all knew it was inevitably doomed. They got divorced in less than three months and NONE of us were surprised.
"I got it because I wanted to make myself unattractive to men. Because I don't want to date anymore," she explained.
JCrew Factory is super affordable. I've gotten some really cute shorts for like $13 and their button down shirts are awesome.
You might even say it's Normcore...
TJ Maxx and JCrew Outlet. I also don't care if JCrew Factory =/= actual discounted JCrew. It's still cute as EFFFFFFFF.
I have not one, but two sweatshirt dresses and you will pry them from my cold dead fingers, except they won't be cold because I'm wearing tights and boots with my sweatshirt dress and I laugh in the face of how much more comfortable I am than everyone else.
I have a very dysfunctional digestive system. Sometimes I don't go for days and then other times I go like 3 times a day. And sometimes, oh sometimes, if I don't go immediately, well I guess I don't have a choice.
This seriously reminds me of the frat guys at my school who would sing "Since You've Been Gone" at the top of their lungs while shirtless in a basement covered with beer. And before you ask, yes, I was singing along with them with my dirty feet in flip flops at 3 AM.
Pittsburgh is a place I never thought of as having an accent until I moved here. And good god is it awful.
