It’s a perfect example of what happens when you don’t have or have and don’t listen to a diverse design team. Any woman or visible member of another oft-harassed group would have raised red flags on this.

He started a “church” that sings his music. He sells them clothes to wear to events—and also the drab colorless shapeless clothes? Those are a part of it, too, right?
And now he’s bought a whole heck ton of acres in Wyoming, the least populated state in the US?
Clearly he’s starting a cult and we need to…
Sigh! There is nothing parasitic about calling out a fake asshole who manipulates everyone around them. I applaud Taylor Swift for standing up to and sharing the emotional abuse that was inflicted upon her by Kanye. Because what he did to her was abuse. That man gets no pass, and if you are buying the whole religious…
Father of two here just sitting patiently waiting for the inevitable “no one made you have kids!” comment.
Interesting how your response (and others) just assumes that the woman irresponsibly failed to book her seat next to her child’s. Can you really not conceive of a situation where the airline is at fault here? Are you really that inexperienced of a traveler that an airline hasn’t cancelled and re-booked your flight, or…
Ok here is one for you, I planned and booked three seats together (Window, Middle and Aisle) for a trip to Colorado and back. Seat assignments were confirmed.
If there’s some reason why you don’t want to move, don’t move. But yikes to this overwrought reaction and judgmental/transactional approach to a small request for a little help.
When did everyone turn into babies who care only about their utmost comfort all the time? It might make me uncomfortable to be in a suboptimal seat, but it’s not so bad that I can’t help out a mom or someone similarly situated.
Can nobody here read? I said that if you want to keep your seat, keep your seat.
They do, but only if the kid is under six. My daughter is ten. She’s old enough to behave herself, but then I’ll read yet another article about some fucking weird old man molesting some kid on a flight, and I’m like, hell-to-the-no, and make sure we check in exactly 24 hours ahead of time, set an alarm, so we’re at…
This is a very real problem. If you have little ones in your family that require their own seat, but you cannot afford the “upgrade” of reserving seats together, then you roll the dice on how the airline will seat you, and hope that you can convince them to let you sit next to each other. Sometimes families gotta go…
They can survive without each other for a few hours, and if their need for each other was really that dire, they could have planned in advance and booked seats next to each other. Stay put.
Another wrinkle to this. Some airlines have started selling an even more basic version of economy seats where you don’t get to choose your seats. The first time we encountered this (and we fly fairly regularly) the site we bought them through didn’t make it completely clear. My kids are young and both, at the time,…
I get the main point of this article, but there is a lot of unnecessary judgement here in the comment section. Sometimes a person cheaps out on their ticket or books a flight late so that they are forced into an unappealing seat, but many times a person doesn’t get to pick at all. I often travel for work, and I am…
Josh, looking forward to your next article on how you don’t have to give your seat to the old lady with a walker on a crowded bus. No means no! Know your rights!
Most of this could be solved if airlines (and now movie theatres, too) didn’t put so many of us in this weird, awkward, class-charged predicament.
For the last time, don’t eat your placenta
The irony is that this movie seems like a trump supporters' wet dream. Liberals are the George Soros conspiracy they've always thought; and somehow a band of rednecks is able to survive and beat them with inferior weapons and resources. It's the fantasy these inbreds think about every day.
“An increased involvement in prenatal care” sounds like helping their pregnant partner more than they maybe would have before since the expectation is being put forth more obviously.
It seems I’m one of the only people who still likes this show now, because apparently the idea that a show whose only long-running theme that rulership by birth is destructive at best and when led by ill rulers is horrifying in totality, ending with yet another ill-ruler with a longstanding history of…
