They can be good if you don't take them seriously (even the makers of the videos don't take themselves seriously). The problem is when people treat them like serious movie criticism, not knowing that some "sins" they mention are actually stuff they teach you as the correct thing to do in film school.

I loved NBC's Dracula. I thought it was a great re-imagining of the original story, and it didn't take itself too seriously. Plus, lesbian mud wrestling and Tesla electropunk!
