When people hang up signs in their home that read “This is a home of love” or “Live, Pray, Laugh, Live, Laugh, Love, Pray, Laugh, Live, Eat” who are they talking to?

I don’t know why anyone expected anything else. With no one willing accept basic measures to stop the spread (like closing restaurants and halting travel) and others not even willing to accept the baseline precautions like masks we were always going to end up here.

At my college we didn’t do jungle juice, there was a different thing where a bunch of stuff went in a very large pickle jar with a ton of ice and had to be shook for 20 minutes before drinking.  But everyone drank out of the jar so still too gross for that pandemic life.

You can go quite a few days without eating if you’re healthy. I don’t think this is as important as, say, water. Unless you have a medical condition that requires management of your blood sugar. Unpleasant though. So it’s a good idea to keep snacks on hand, but for most it is probably lower priority.

Oh yeah it’s ridiculous to have a lion as a pet.

What if you need a positive test to get out of work or otherwise stay home? What if it would be difficult to isolate unless your family was convinced or you needed to take advantage of programs to isolate out of your home? Additionally, people at risk of complications want to get tested ASAP because interventions like

There was a minimum online order last year and I refused to buy that many but one of my friends took it upon herself to order for me anyway.

Politer for sure, but safer? This is pure theater if you’re going to be drinking that drink indoors anyway. If you’re unsure about the virus level of your aerosols or don’t want to risk being exposed to those of others, stay home.

I am not sure this is mentally safe for anyone.

There is a specific fishery as they live in somewhat deeper/different habitat than other groundfish.

I cross stitched so much I had to take a break from it.

Monkfish are a very common fished product in New England. I used to work on their fishery management. It is very common to see it in restaurants, just less common for people to eat them at home. They’re supposed to taste like lobster.

I do wonder if he’s waiting for Build Back Better to go or right before midterms to decide they need the bump from this.

My cat would be surprised to know he’s supposed to be solitary because he thinks he needs to be with me every moment of the friggin day.

They freak out my cat.  He avoids them.  IDK why he thinks he’s special.

If you’re hospitalized for covid it’s tied directly with continuing health problems and an increased risk for death.

I believe Geralt is sterile, as all Witchers are, because of the mutation process, no worries there.

I’m white and American and my grandma taught me to wash the chicken. I stopped some time ago though. Unless it’s dirty. Sometimes if you buy chicken feet they’re still dirty and they need a careful (non-splashy) rinse.

Some of this you don’t have any options on if you’re financing. Closing dates can be dictated by your bank (mine was contingent on the house I was selling closing first, which was held up by my buyer’s bank...). Appraisal too was required and appraisers were so busy it delayed things.

It goes way, way, way back several owners/changes in management. I remember when Jezebel comments were pink. It worked ok for a long while as a way to let editors and users feature comments they liked.
