Monkfish are a very common fished product in New England. I used to work on their fishery management. It is very common to see it in restaurants, just less common for people to eat them at home. They’re supposed to taste like lobster.

People are pretty dumb about seals. I love them but they are not cute or cuddly, they’re vicious predators and they can fuck you up if you get too close to them. The only reason you don’t hear about seal attacks all the time is they’re pretty clumsy on land and they know it.
