Nothing about how today’s beer probably differs from beer at the time of origination? Ale is a really varied category and I don’t know the specifics but it was probably both lower ABV in the past along with tasting different.

I would think something like that would focus on mifepristone, which is a drug that can actually end a pregnancy. Plan B is a hormone that works on making the lining inhospitable and/or acting on the ovaries to prevent or delay egg release. It doesn’t end pregnancy but instead prevents them in the narrow window…
