Instead of focusing on whether or not spanking works as a behavior modification aid when decades of evidence have proven it does not, it might be time to try and identify the reason that around half of all American parents still hit their children,

We had an eat-in kitchen before it was cool, in our late 70s built house. That table got a lot of use. Now I have a table my dad bought when my parents split up. I used it constantly in my last apartment, but now that I have a house I almost never use it since I live alone.
Because of the threat that I was under and because of the fact that I couldn’t feel safe anywhere, was being harassed and screamed at everywhere and death threats, I — I considered it a condition of the security environment that I was operating in as a result of the job that I had with the NRA, which put me in a…
As a person with 7 cross country trips under my belt, I say do the coasts or do Route 66. For the rest of them, stuff is spread too far apart to be interesting. You either have to do a lot of route planning and stay off highway or be interested in rather minor attractions.
I don’t think I could manage it. Two years ago during the government furlough a friend and I did all the Connery ones (the first seven) and that was more than enough. They get pretty ridiculous.
I guess they’re limiting numbers but there’s no seat reservation at mine so some mouthbreather can sit right next you.
My local movie theater was hopping on Friday. Easy way to spot people who don’t take it seriously.
Has there been any data on how side effects change if someone’s already gotten sick or had an asymptomatic case?
I would be fine in that this would give you more space and some room to move around. You don’t have to work, you can watch a movie or play sudoku or whatever.
Well, Sam was really upset that Bucky didn’t seem to like Marvin Gaye. So disappointing when your partner doesn’t like one of your favs, like they don’t even get you.
I am with you, here for the adventure and character develop. IDGAF about the action scenes.
I guess that goes to show you everyone is different, because I was absolutely LIVING for the cloak and dagger spy stuff. Bucky’s seeming comfort vs Sam’s obvious discomfort with playing a role? That shit is gold for me. A much more subtle way to play with the differences between what is expected of a black person than…
Certainly there are plenty of cruel people who meet that standard.
Pretty good flowchart, actually. Focuses on limited behaviors that are certainly the most damaging. I like how it turns everything back to focusing on what the employee can do to improve the situation too.
If anyone deserves to die gasping and alone, it would be her. But not because of her workout.
One thing the pandemic has given us for the worse is replacing phone interviews with video interviews. Phone interviews used to be standard where I’m at. I much prefer them because I like to fidget to burn the nervous energy. The worst part is the people listening do not always have their cameras on so you’re talking…
Can you imagine growing up as one of these kids whose pre-birth party caused a tragedy? You just know busy body relatives or neighbors are going to tell them.
MM sounds like me talking about supervision before I was a supervisor.
I don’t really care if people get high, but this is really only half the story. Delta 8 might be technically legal, but can a drug test differentiate the difference between that and 9? If it still picks up delta 8 and you’re tested, the consequences are going to be yours regardless.
I’ve had cabbage in my veggie drawer for all of the pandemic. It does hold up really well so when I was only going to the store every two weeks there’d still be cabbage there, waiting for me.
