My work offered retirement investments made 14% in 2020.  Would never have guessed with how things were going in April.

the randomness tho

Never once had a memorable thing happen on this non-holiday.

This list is so random and so far from my comfort viewing, it reads more like an advertisement for streaming than a coherent article.  I don’t think that was really the effect you were going for.

“What did you do?”
“Snacked on yo-magic, bro!” Yo-magic, the snack for survivors...

I like the show playing with the existing, relevant horror of the town much better than dipping back into the whole blip nonsense.

I work for the federal government and with boomers retiring left and right there’s been a ton of opportunity to move up. We’ve been cycling through it for at least a decade, I think. The workforce is also shrinking so it’s not unlimited but there’s certainly opportunity to move up fast.

I work for the federal government so it’s a little different around here, but we generally say it takes about 3 years to learn a new job.  It’s not mastering the whole of your speciality, just knowing what is required for your specific position.  And certainly not master everything you need to know about working with

Hmm.  I do have parm in the fridge.  But roasted potatoes deserve schmaltz or duck fat.

I am a big fan of the frying pan methods.  I don’t usually do the water and cover.  If you put it on low to med-low the crust will crisp and the cheese will melt around the same time.   But it focuses the heat on where it needs it most; which is the crust to break up the starch crystals that make it stale.

Would I tell them “I told you so,”?  No.  Would I tell all my other friends eating in restaurants I know someone who got sick doing that? Yes.

Eternal Sunshine is not romantic, it is depressing.  They could go on to find people that would actually make them happy, but no.

On some cooking competitions the judges are really mean and stuff.  But on his shows they are critical without being mean and they say lots of nice things.   They made good chill pandemic viewing.

Aw man I am gonna have to leave the house and go to the more chi chi grocery near me to see if they have any.  Not a lot of Polish tradition in my area.

I have one in their 60s but the rest are mostly in the 40s, but maybe late forties.  They’re frankly ridiculous.

Sharon throwing in with Cap is supposed to be about ethics and doing the right thing even when it’s hard, but they never developed her character at all so she basically threw away her career to make out once with a man, who then went back in time to get back with her aunt.

Not only did she make out with him, she destroyed her career for him.

I admire your dedication, both to your craft and your parenting.

Guy Fieri would be so proud of you.

I have considered for years switching to Katherine.  I changed jobs this year and didn’t do it though.  I probably should have since I read young anyway and all my employees think I am way younger than they are.  Instead I am going to be dropping lots of hints about turning 40 this year.
