There is such a thing as political correctness. It’s not some right-wing boogeyman that destroys free speech, but nor is it completely non-existent either. I don’t understand why some people on the left are so reluctant to admit that there are some instances where political correctness is ridiculous (the Harvard

You know, even though she’s adopted, his daughter with Sandee is still his ACTUAL kid.

It’s like the Bluth family made this movie.

You had me at Wes Anderson. You always have me at Wes Anderson.

What’s funny is that The Life Aquatic is the one that finally got me to let go of all my reservations about Wes. Sure, Tenenbaums and Rushmore are definitely better scripts with actual plots, but the almost aimless silliness of TLA made the whole universe finally click for me.

I know people like to pick on Anderson’s aesthetic as twee and inauthentic, but I can’t think of another director who can make every single scene so beautifully framed and populated. Seriously, every shot of this trailer is an accomplished composition.

Along with Budapest (my personal favorite), The Royal Tenenbaums and Rushmore are generally considered his best. I’d also recommend checking out Bottle Rocket...not so much for its merits as a film, but because it was his first feature and as a budding fan you may enjoy seeing the director as he is developing his

I would invest in a Willy Wonka played by “Weird Al”. I don’t know that it would be very good, but I’d love to see him be a dick to kids.

I hated the commercials on Hulu’s previous plan. I like paying for not seeing commercials. (I also have Youtube Red so make of all that what you will.)

they didn’t close out the episode. THE Nine Inch Nails showed up after evil Cooper came back from the dead and their performance preceded the beginning of the nuclear montage freakout

I sure miss a new Twin Peaks to look forward to every week. Sunday seems so empty now.

Did you guys know that Louis CK is rumored to masturbate in front of women comics? Nobody has actually accused Louis CK, and at least one prominent woman comic has stated that the allegations aren’t about him, but Gawker ran a blind item and then turned guesses into indictments, so it must be true. If you can’t trust

“It would be wrong to describe “Can’t Fight This Feeling” as “the Louis CK episode of One Mississippi.”

Countpoint: they are way, way better.

There's something about doggo lingo, and its oddly intuitive syntax/semantics set that just tickles the shit out of the me from college who took a bunch of linguistics classes and thought he might be a linguist some day.
