I'm working on a country music festival this weekend and a lot of these guys are wearing a lot of makeup

Maybe that's part of my confusion. I grew up in the San Diego suburbs and went to high school with Tony Gwynn Jr in a district with solid baseball teams. So, people (in my limited experience) care a lot about Baseball.

It just seems odd to me that college baseball doesn't have the same appeal as college football and basketball. It's not like we're talking about NCAA Lacrosse or even Soccer. Baseball is a huge share of the pro sports market.

Could someone who's smarter than me explain why college baseball isn't popular?
