Sony is backing out of this year’s Game Developers Conference due to concerns over the coronavirus. This comes a day after the company said it wouldn’t be attending PAX East because of the virus either. Facebook also announced it won’t at GDC 2020 for the same reason.

A large Granblue Fantasy Versus tournament in Tokyo has been canceled over coronavirus concerns. The CDC added Japan to its list of affected countries yesterday but has not enacted warnings apart from practicing usual precautions like avoiding the sick and thorough hand-washing.

One of Japan’s biggest cosplay gatherings, the Nipponbashi Street Festa in Osaka, will not be held this year due to coronavirus concerns. The Street Festa has been held annually since 2005 and draws as many as 200,000 people. This year’s event was supposed to kick off on March 15. There are no plans to reschedule.

The upcoming seventh episode of A Certain Scientific Railgun T will be delayed due to the effect coronavirus (COVID-19) has on production. In its place, the show’s sixth episode will be re-aired. The new broadcast date will be announced on the show’s official site at a later date.
