Oh, that’s long been and done. The—six? nine?—toolbars, I was expecting. The fact that she managed to override her homepage (beyond the typical default setting) was much more fun. Think I’ll be having that cuppa now, thanks!

Friend of mine had this exact problem, this morning. Seeing it again in your article has me dreading a call from my mum, who is nothing like tech-savvy. /sigh
^_^ Exactly the sort of thing I’m talking about!
Another thing the gaming manual did was fill the gap between buying a game and actually being able to play it. We’d leave the game store, and I’d have the game unboxed right in the back of the car, looking over the manual before we even got home in anticipation of the thing. ^_^
Having been swayed to buy the game just last night, I went looking for one of these posts. Thanks Patricia! (Haven’t read it all—I want to save myself some surprises. But no doubt it will come in handy.)
Understood, and appreciated! ^_^; Wish it wasn’t too late to correct my post.
Quite. Sometimes I feel like I’m one of the only people on my FList who occasionally uses their PS4 as a media box in addition to a gaming console. /sigh
I’ve run into that occasionally, though not near as much somehow. When I left my first guild on FFXIV, it was a bit nerve-wrecking, though!
The “appear offline” will come in handy. Wouldn’t need it most of the time, but dead useful when watching a show/movie. ^_^
Have to admit that I don’t care for the style, but it’s interesting to see the thought behind the process. ^_^
I half-expected something in the plaza, but this was actually better for being totally unexpected. ^_^
A little communication goes a long way. ^_^ I’ve been healing lowbie dungeons forever, despite my WHM being in the 50s. (My BRD is 60, that’s my progression character.) A good friend recently convinced me to do the 50 Roulette with him tanking, and there were times that neither of us really had a clue. Most folks were…
Sympathies. During that blizzard in January, I was meant to come home Sunday afternoon—ended up taking until Wednesday morning.
Pretty much would depend on how much focus remains on individual characters and storylines—that’s what matters to me most in that universe. Handled properly, could be an interesting experiment in gameplay. But if it becomes too much, pieces on a chessboard, well, I’ve got other games for that.
Oh, it was—I think it’s reasonably telling that the lesson’s stayed with me all these years later. Only now I’m old enough to realise that probably WAS the lesson that she wanted to impart, rather than caring about the essays in their own right.
Ouch. :(
I relate to parts of this uncomfortably well—and I’ve got about a decade on you. Anecdote: when I was in 11th grade, our English teacher had us write an essay about where we’d see ourselves in five years. As she collected them, she told us that she already knew what they said, that they were all about the American…
Truth—and I am very susceptible to building tension. Sometimes it’s bad even if it doesn’t pay off, because you’re then just stuck anticipating. (And yet, Fatal Frame 2 is one of my favourite games, go figure.)
LOL Oh, I can so relate.
Okay, I’m not usually one for jump-scares (hi, I’m a wimp), but I think I’d be really tempted to do this. Looks like fun. ^_^
