If folks keep voting for him and his party there ARE no repercussions. Checks and balances don’t work if we keep handing all the power to the same corrupt group.

That’s up to Congress, isn’t it? (sobs)
It’s late and I’m so, so tired, but didn’t the FBI sit on any mention of the Russia election tampering issue for weeks, or even months? Until after the election? I swear I remember reading that. If so, it’s hard for me to take Comey’s integrity all that seriously.
If Garland has a shred of self-preservation he’ll let his voice mailbox fill up without remorse. To take a job in this administration is like accepting the 666 brand on your forehead—you are irrevocably tarnished by the company you keep.
“I’m in charge. I made the call...unless it all goes South, then it’s Hillary, Obama or someone else’s fault and I’ve said that from the start.”
For people who like podcasts I recommend today’s episode of Pod Save America. They do a good job of going over why the comey firing is scary, not just as an abuse of power but for our republic.
“I was going to fire Comey,” Trump told NBC. “Regardless of the recommendation, I was going to fire Comey.”
The reports that for weeks he’s been screaming at TVs that talk about the russia investigation and that he’s isolating himself more and getting more furious that people keep seeing the smoke from the investigation are FASCINATING.
Honestly I’m sure academics could spend life times on him as a case study and we still would not fully understand the depths of his incompetencies.
Comey thought it was a practical joke at first, then when he found out it wasn’t, stayed to shake the hands of the employees he had been speaking to. Not a fan of Comey, but contrast the professionalism...
3. It’s especially fucked up because their official line now is that this was something that Trump was considering since at least election night and they have been planning this for at least a week. That means, if they are to be trusted (they’re not), it was their intent for him to find out in that superbly shitty…
Why is it that stupid people always underestimate their own stupidity while overestimating the stupidity of other people? I can just picture Trumpy cackling away that he could conveniently shitcan Comey to solve this Russia investigation business and both parties would praise him as a hero.
God, how FUCKING STUPID IS HE?
1.) CNN was reporting last night that nobody in the administration expected the political blowback that occurred 0.4 seconds after the country found out about Comey’s firing. HOW? Did they honestly think that we’d all go, “Oh. Yes. Trump is clearly firing him because he was mean to Hilz. Makes sense to me.” Nobody in…
God, how FUCKING STUPID IS HE? Not only did he think firing Comey would successfully cover his ass, he thought people would be fucking happy about it. Seriously if I have to read about how anyone can be President now—this does nothing except prove that only people with adequate capabilities and experience should be…
Mulvaney is probably the official that I was able to hate the fastest. It’s taken decades for me to learn to hate Trump, a couple of years to hate Ryan, but I was able to go from never hearing about Mulvaney to loathing him in about eleven seconds. Specifically, when he complained about the cost of “Meals on Wheels”
That Mullvaney comment made me scream. I work with kids who have addicted parents. They come into our 8 pm meeting starving. Some have only eaten a candy bar all day. There’s never any food in their homes. And those dicks begrudge hungry children a meal? I hope there’s karma.
You’re 100% correct, I misremembered and this is definitely worse. At this point Watergate looks almost quaint since that investigation was a good example of how checks and balances (plus a free and capable press) keep us from straight up dictatorship. I’m not so sure this time around.
