They do, but Blackadder Goes Forth absolutely devastates with it. There's just something catastrophic in it that didn't manifest in the other seasons.

I agree that this could hurt the show. Nick was in obvious botch mode during the finale, delivering a dish of undercooked duck to Emeril. That should have been the thing that sunk him - that and his clear aversion to seasoning. Nina's dishes were all edible. Nick's weren't. Bam. Winner.
