I feel you. I was really disappointed in Celebrity Skin because it was so over-produced. (I blame you, Billy Corgan! I hate the Smashing Pumpkins.) Eventually I came around to that album, but Live Through This is so much better and I love Pretty on the Inside for the rawness.

I have always LOVED Hole and Courtney. I saw them in concert in 1998 (1999? Good lord I’m getting old and forgetting everything) and it was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. They really were amazing. I’d love to catch them live again, but I would settle for some new (or new to the public) material.

Saw them at The Lillith Faire during their height. I loved the way that guitar playing, hard core woman threw her leg up on the speaker and fucking jammed.

Agreed. That was a great role. She’s gorgeous of course, but there were several moments where you could tell she’s in her 40's and I thought that was great. It added a lot to her character, who was someone who was used to getting through life on her looks. In certain shots there was a weariness that would come over…
