Nice 'diplomatic' article.

Oh wait. Nix that... must have misread.
Wait.. if you're handing out printouts of your e-mail address, why not type/print your phone number on the same page?
Interesting. Can you download your completed "scrapbook" files?
With 'everyone' (seemingly) doing online savings accounts and bank accounts for kids, this is a refreshing idea. Seeing the money in the jars is a pretty good idea for us all. Then, deposit it for interest.
I'd actually love an IMAP version of Gmail. Even if it was a premium/paid service...
Cool summary. I've never really gotten "into" the whole widget thing. They bug me.
"Clubbing Baby Seals — Just in case this applies to you, this would be a good thing to stop as well."
Oh, and checking voicemail. I use SpinVox now.. it rocks. For work, I still have to login since I don't think the worklords would like hearing "your message will be converted to text.. spinvox.." etc. on my work voicemail.
Things to stop:
How about if the kid supports themselves for a few years, paying rent, having a job, etc.? If they're self-supporting for all intensive purposes, the parent's income would be excluded. Petitioning the court and properly filing taxes can avoid this issue.
@snowmoon:
well clearly you've chosen to get ripped off. and yes you can save for both, but you've argued against it. only a fool would pay $40k per year when most employers couldn't care less.
Seems cool. I thought this company recycled them so they don't pollute the rain forest (or whatever)?
@katna:
Great tip. You saved my life!
good thing that those of us who actually plan on caring for our children know that you can save for retirement AND college. Saving as little as $100 per month for 18 years into an ESA will effectively pay for a good state school and then some. And its highly unlikely that your children will resent you, or think you…
WOW
