Well, I did not exactly follow a recipe. I made butter cake (Wilton recipe) and used a half a vanilla bean pod's scrapings plus 2 TBSP vanilla extract in the batter.

You just want to date the cake. I get it though!

I don't have one? I just had a bunch of stuff on hand. A lot of butter and eggs were involved.

I did read it. It was interesting but often irksome to read because, as usual, the generalizations and biological imperative stuff becomes hard to ignore. But it was worth reading just to see a different perspective.
