That thought occurred to me as well. I was also surprised at how low a score Ashley Wagner got on her short program. I didn't think it was top-2, but she was (IMO) given short shrift throughout her Team and Ladies performances.

Just coming back to say - he should be extremely proud of his performance - he worked it for the crowd and is just a joy to watch. Good for him, and I'm sure we'll see him again in 4 years.

It's totally likely. I would be very surprised if he wasn't competing in 2018 with a well-rehearsed quad or 2 in his routine.

I don't think I am uncomfortable with her body, but you know what? It IS her body. And if she wants to do comedy about it well, that's her choice. Upon reflection, while I don't like that there are sights gags referencing her size, if she doesn't care I probably shouldn't either.
