As long as the phone is unlocked I'll be getting one. I would like to know what the Verizon GSM pricing will be per megabyte of data in Europe, etc. When I travel abroad I would really like to be able to slap in a local sim.

The odds are he won't be alive for long. You can easily die or have a serious head or spinal injury even from a short fall.

I'll be the guy to poop on this parade and just say that pretty much there is nothing done by the Stones after the late 1970s or early 1980s that has any interest at all. They are the band equivalent of Elton John. They did amazing stuff in the day and they are icons, but its over and its been over for decades.

Hmm, so among facebook users (I'm not one) do men spend more time masturbating for real or doing facebook masturbation each day? I'm going to assume that women spend more time on facebook.

I'm sorry, but something this small still isn't a real keyboard. The touchscreen keyboards, even something as large as the one on the iPad, don't work because you have to be careful to only touch one spot, so touch typing, doesn't really work, you end up using two fingers and pecking. But the small keyboards, touch or

Wait a sec, the players game gets invaded and he went to hide in a sarcophagus and now he's going to die in there?

I sure hope new machines will be able to just install Snow Leopard and not deal with the silliness. Or I guess Apple could make sure there is a setting so all the Lion frills can be disabled.

Just for future reference, do you consider these "games" or something you do to kill time because your smartphone is the only gaming device you have with you?

I was once told by a Rockwell engineer that there were three computers for navigation in the shuttle because they were running the old Apollo code and they would "vote" for 2 out of 3 to decide on the correct decision. I'm not sure they had the source for the Apollo stuff either.

So whatever happened to Orkut?

I know. What I was trying to say is that for the size and weight I would likely leave my Kindle at home when I travel as I would rather have a single device that does everything well. OTOH, my Kindle might still be the only device I can actually read text on outside.

Actually, I want this in a 7" inch display or to be precise a 7.34" display which if my calculations are correct would be 1920 x 1080. You would get a true 1080p HD display that would be small enough to carry around without a backpack or embarrassing pants or jacket pockets and you would be able to ditch your e-ink

This was really helpful, thanks.

Hmm, it says 05.16.02, so I guess I'm out of luck.

I have a 3Gs that is about to go off contract and I would really like to have it unlocked to use abroad with cheaper sims, but there never seems to be a good explanation for the schmoes about how to unlock safely. I assume all those sites advertising "safe unlock" are just scams?

I would say let it go through but use the agreement as leverage to give customers more choice in plans, support legit phone unlocks so the consumer can easily swap SIMs, especially while traveling abroad, etc.

Ah, my mistake. I guess I'll continue to look at the iPhone as a mobile hotspot backup.

If the modem was unlocked MiFi with GSM support I might get this as a backup that I could also use while traveling abroad, but last time I checked they only had AT&T 3G in the USA and didn't mention anything about use of the devices abroad.

And of course the Mac is the only machine that lets you run pretty much every version of Windows or Linux you care to all in a safer emulated environment. About the only downside is 3D performance, but I'm only using it for legacy programs and apps that aren't available for the Mac like .NET stuff.

This is like Microsoft admitting they have a problem with security in Windows.
