Depending on what your code is written in it could also be the superior compiler technology under Windows. The Mac is way behind if you compare the same basic code compiled on both platforms. Once you get into the frameworks and SDKs are bets are off though because you're comparing apples and oranges.

Interesting. I've talked with two other self-publishers and they didn't specifically mention difficulties, but they also weren't thrilled with the results which makes me think the tools are a bit off.

Cool. Which devices can read this format? Is there a translator to other formats that works well?

What I'm saying is that every e-book I've purchased from Amazon has some issues compared to the paperback and hardback copies of the same material. I'm not an author or publisher, so I don't know what the issue is, but it is buggered.

What is frustrating about the e-books so far is that the content creation and display tools are apparently crap compared to doing HTML or some other format that can easily accommodate different display sizes, typefaces, styles, and images or other non-text.

The biggest thing they need to do for the next gen console is make sure there are more great games. Even Nintendo put out a lot of mediocre to bad games and the third parties just dumped bad title after bad title on the Wii crazy public. There is a reason the Wii has a bad reputation with gamers.
