@Hooded_Robin: The second game is great, but unfortunately it starts slow. It takes about an hour or so to get out of tutorial mode. I suggest renting or buying AC2 cheap.

Banana Visor FTW!

This might be the most embarrassing and underwhelming item of the show. It still isn't clear what kind of light levels you need in the room for it to even work and I don't know about the rest of you, but there is a table in front of my couch so there isn't much in the way of room between that table and HDTV to even

100 KP Somebody will confuse Rock Band and Guitar Hero on stage (20:1)

@Skunky: Yeah, I'm in the same boat, but I would have to start from the beginning to have a hope of getting back into it. I remember really liking the art style and getting more into than FF8, but for some reason I didn't get to the end. I'm guessing I must not have been up for level grinding or something like that in

If there isn't a phone option and the big N doesn't finally get their act together with online then they are going to continue to get pressure from the even more casual gaming on the iPhone and other smartphones that they seem so worried about lately.

@Ccomfo1: I understand your confusion, but I basically went on day one because I had missed my first opportunity to see RealD working, which was Meet the Robinsons earlier that year, spring 2007.

@ManiacalShen: Ah, I didn't realize that. The ticket sales people always implied that it was for the glasses, but I guess they were mistaken. I kept my first pair of Real3D glasses that I got at Beowulf and have used them each time.

It is annoying that you must pay an additional fee for the glasses even if you bring your own.

@Bayshun: But since the controller is USB you don't have to charge it on your PS3. You can charge it from a laptop computer, a USB charging station (there are a lot of options), or any other device that provides a USB connection.

Both the 360 and PS3 are full media centers. If you live outside the USA, the PS3 might even be a DVR solution for you.

After I saw what they did with Metroid: Other M I immediately thought that the next Zelda might be a Zelda II remake of sorts combining elements from the 2nd game with 3D, but probably not like this interpretation.

That would feel awesome resting on your lap browsing the web...NOT.

I think this is more of a statement about how few really great first party titles there are for the Xbox 360. If you own a 360, you probably have Halo 3 and Gears and what? It was a box built and marketed for the audience that likes that particular type of shooter.

@Zach Man: Jet Grind Radio is why I bought a Dreamcast and while mine still works I would be sorely tempted to have a version on PSN or Live.

Sadly this is going to be financial distraction that will dig an even deeper financial hole for Sony when they can't afford the distraction or the expense.

@LucasTizma: Thanks. looking at the GR page...

So which Dragon Quest, on which platform is considered the "best" and worth playing? I only ask this because I know I've tried playing a few and I don't think I ever made it more than four or five hours before I was turned off by something and moved on to a different game. I don't remember offhand what I didn't like,
