Well this is sort of like Microsoft where only Windows and Office and SQL Server (very small percentage) make money and literally everything else is a loss item.

@Pheermee: I'm looking forward to 8 hours of cutscenes detailing the political ramifications of dracula and the demon state ;-)

Hold onto your copies folks since this version probably just became limited release. Yes, they can probably do a forced patch, but that doesn't mean they would catch the folks that don't connect to PSN. On the other hand, since there is no "nude" sex involved maybe the existing rating for the game makes this okay even

BTW, if this was a bad date calculation bug, the problem won't show up again until February 28, 2014, so mark your calendars.

@Y-bot: Anyone's guess, but it could be as simple as someone putting a 2 where they should have had a 4.

@bakagaijin: I think in my case the problem is that I finished the game yesterday morning when everything was fine. Late in the afternoon I decided I would go for some different endings at which point I found out about the glitch and that's when the trophies disappeared. Since then despite a resync, my Heavy Rain

@bakagaijin: I also didn't get my trophies back. In addition, my save file on the game I completed yesterday just locks the machine up if I try and load it.

@kasplat: Of course this could be from trying to run the program yesterday before we got any word that you weren't supposed to mess at all with the system.

60GB fatty PS3...

@Lezard: How is auto-aiming, a single fire button and the ability to restore your missiles and health whenever you want not dumbing down?!

@Lezard: I can't speak for others, but my skeptical posts or hate posts if you like we're focused on one issue which seems to be the big one... the control scheme.

@Thoraxes: After finally hearing how the control scheme works the game actually fell into my rent first list. Honestly, the Wiimote is a terrible 2D control device. It isn't comfortable to hold, it is more primitive than the SNES controller and the simplification of the jumping and shooting that will be necessary

Very very confused on the control schemes and when you'll be switching based on the screenshots. I hope it doesn't turn out to be a pain to control. The Wiimote d-pad is worse than an analog stick for 2D movement and of course there are only 2 buttons (NES) with no shoulder buttons so it is even worse than the SNES.

This is one of the key issues with the new emphasis on online co-op and multiplayer in games. While you can play your single-player game years from now as long as the disc or cartridge and hardware still work, that isn't true for multiplayer gaming. With older PC games where the servers were run by individuals and

3 discs on the 360. If you are nostalgic for disc swapping like with FFVII then knock yourself out, otherwise Blu-ray wins. The only thing that might save the 360 version is that this is supposed to be one of the most linear FF games ever so maybe the swapping is limited...?

@Krytha: The biggest number of level one characters would be all the gold farmer spammer characters that don't last too long. But surely they aren't dumb enough to count those, so let's assume we are talking about legit subscribers.

@Garro: There is a larger issue which is that any multiplayer game is dependent on the server infrastructure staying around if you want to play it in the future.

I'm curious how the Cerberus Network (CN) for ME2 is working out? How it is impacting rentals and used sales?

@ninjikiran: I'm not saying I liked the control, I'm just saying that was a big part of the Wii version.

How would the control even work?! If they wait until the PS3 wand comes out then that makes more sense.
