It’s not like they had a huge staff of reporters all over the world. People called them and handed them the gossip - frequently including clips and photos. If they couldn’t run the program under those exhausting conditions, it deserved to die.

I was part of the eligible at age 65 group and I retired at almost 63 due to illness that looked ominous. Lesser benefits for a longer time - I think it matched out when I was about 70.
