At $599 carrier did not incur subsidy expenses and Apple get's a full retail, yet it's still locked to a carrier. You have to pay Apple extra $50 on top…

Apple's got quite a scam going on here. You can buy an unsibsidized iPhone for 599/699 but it'll still be locked to a carrier. Want it unlocked? That'll be an extra $50 Sometimes I think that Apple is the epitomy of corporate greed.

Elop seriously needs to lay off the pipe. The last time I mentioned "box" and "flaps" in the same sentence my date jumped out of bed, got dressed, and stormed out of my house never to be seen or heard from again. I learned a valuable lesson :(

I agree with you there and I am hopeful that Google will follow through on its promise to enforce standards. They already do it with Honeycomb and I think the same rules apply to Icecream Sandwich.

I don't know which Android phone you're refering to but of the last three Android phones I've owned NONE had suffered from the issues you're describing.

Forget Xoom and get Asus Transformer instead. It's a much better device that sells for $200 less (16GB version), and has a better screen, a real USB port, and already has expansion card storage enabled. I am VERY happy with mine, in fact I dumped iPad 2 for it and not looking back.
