Yes, but only for non-branded headsets which are not sold in US. American carriers will never agree to unified branding, otherwise it would be extremely hard for them to differentiate.

I see what you're saying but I think carriers are intentionally moving away from "sequel" names in order to advertise an all-new product instead of an update. Makes it look like they're completely revamping their product line.

Calling it Vibrant II or Captivate II would only make sense in case of an incremental update, sort of like iPhone 3G > 3GS. However, these are significant revisions of the hardware platform that includes bigger screens and faster processor, so new name is warranted. Now, the names themselves could be questioned or

Early in WWII Soviets tried to train dogs to be "walking bombs", essentially a K9 kamikadze program. They wore explosive vests rigged with a simple stick trigger that would set off the bomb when a dog would to walk under the German tank. The program was scrapped only about three months into development because dogs

Shit, there goes my favorite mattress! Layla is going to be pissed!!! Is IKEA open today?

I have been to Paris an gorgeous it's not. Lots of garbage on the streets, rude people, and don't get me even started on their wonderful airport.

@scrapplejoe: There is no jailbreak of any kind for iPad 2, yet. I am sure it won't be long ;)

@sneakypoo: Your options, flexibility, and experience will most likely be hampered by the hardware limitations of the tablet.

@WestwoodDenizen: How many ways are there to design a touchscreen phone? Smartphones are like ugly people: it's what's inside that matters.

If you don't mind tinkering then head on over to Captivate forums at xda-developers. Once you root the phone and install a custom firmware you'll swear that you just bought a new phone. Captivate was my first Android phone too and once I learned how to free it from clutches of Samsung and AT&T I haven't looked back

You must be one of the lucky few who had no issues with Captivate. This phone is known for horrible GPS reception (even after the official "fix"), the "sleep of death" syndrome, cheap built quality, and the lack of interest from Samsung in providing updates. The only reason I held on to one for couple of months was

Samsung Captivate received high scores? That's proof enough for me that CR should stick to reviewing washing machines and vacuum cleaners.

Well, there is only one way to be certain; start frequenting beer gardens near Cupertino ;)

No, it's going to be LIY (land it yourself)

These "gallon to gallon" comparisons are utterly stupid. What is the point of comparing the prices for things most of us can do without with gas, which many of us HAVE to use?
