Reason #868739 I avoid social networks like a plague. Then again, if you think about, in the age when employers are allowed to run credit reports on prospective employees, gaining access to their private social network accounts seems like a logical, albeit very bizzare, step. It may not be long before people in law

@snapper.fishes: WP7 doesn't have to worry about fragmentation due to general lack of interest in the platform. Look at all the phones announced at CES and MWC; how many were WP7? Exactly....

If Symbian's interface and menu structure of any indication then MS would be wise to disallow Nokia to make any changes to WP7 UI.

I've made few holes back in the day but never took any pictures though.

I am baffled by Sony's choice of Verizon as exclusive launch partner in US, instead of making it available to all major carriers. You'd think that they would want to sell as many of these as possible given that it's the first phone of its kind, but I digress.

@Lupus_Yonderboy: Good point. Carriers can make a lot of dough by offering "tween" data plans.

Looking at the specs these appear to be "one trick pony" phones. Given that fully fledged Android phones can be had for next to nothing on contract, the only way these Facebook phones will succeed if carriers will not require mandatory smartphone data plans for these. Otherwise, besides the questionable"cool" factor

No Honeycomb and a paltry battery life makes it a "no buy" for me. Also, I can not fathom the need for a pen-based gaming on a touchscreen device; seems like the focus shift in a wrong direction.

How to Create a Wi-Fi Hotspot on Your iPhone:

"So they make an informed decision instead of one that is based on a popularity contest (seriously, what is this junior high school???). " If recent history is of any indication then Nokia is not capable of "informed decision". Perhaps Nokia is just color blind hence while they ignored every giant red flag that has

I am not sure what your assumption that Google is going to faulter is based on? Judging by the number of Android phones in the pipeline it's not going anywhere any time soon. How many new WP7 phones have been announced lately? None. Microsoft has a decent product but they are late to the game and have way too much

After being a Nokia fanboy for over ten years I swore off their phones after buying N97. Going with WP7 would be a mistake, but Nokia hardware coupled with Android would be a marriage made in heaven.

Why does SE insists on using those silly hardware buttons on their Android phones??!! Not only are they ugly and uncomfortable to use but there is also substantial light leakage around them. P.S. I freaking hate the new layout!!!!

The guy purposefully made the board to look like iPad and now he's whining that Apple is forbidding him from proffiting off their design? Some nerver of Apple!!!

No, Giz, the real moral of this story is if you want the latest and greatest firmware on your phone you'll have to learn how to do it yourself. With xda-developers and Modaco providing all the resources you can handle there's no excuse for sitting on your ass and waiting for Moto, Sammy, etc. to do anything for you

Leaked story about a leaky condom. Double pun never sounded so disgusting.

@joshm.copeland: If you're going to rely on OEM's and providers then yes, you'll have a crappy phone with crappy firmware and crappy apps. However, if you're willing to learn and tinker, and to utilize the powers that Internet is, you may just end up with a great phone that does everything you ever wanted it to do.

I am afraid this time my erection will last over four hours. :-(

@mjnbrn: There's hardly a line at Starbucks 'round here :)

I can simply pull out my wallet and hand over a card. Or, I can pull out my phone, browse through apps, fire up Starbucks app, wait for app to load, wait for app to refresh balance, wait for app to generate a barcode.
