I bought one of these years ago at the dollar store.  It’s white and called Instaslit, but otherwise looks exactly the same.  I love it and still use it to this day.  Even works well as a letter opener.

Really surprised to see no mention of NetPerSec, an oldie, but goodie. Not only shows network activity in the tray, but even shows an active network history (ala Process Explorer). One of the first things I install in any new Windows installation.
