In anticipation of Final Fantasy XIV’s upcoming expansion Stormblood, composer Nobuo Uematsu just released the expansion’s theme song. It’s gorgeous.

Missed #1

Found it on the first day: one of my favourite things about LeBlanc.

After Netflix’s shift to the thumbs-up and percent system, I’m starting to suspect that the reasons behind most of Netflix’s recommendations to me boil down to “because the license on this content is cheaper than on other content we’re hoping to phase out.” That would explain why things I had previously rated 1-3

“Fixing”, may I direct you to all of Blompkamps previous shitty work? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying Ridley Scott has made a good film here, I’ve not seen it. I am saying I’ve seen District 9 (easily his best but still not great), Chappie (almost unadulterated shit, smeared over celluloid) and Elysium, which just

I’m confused about the title; is it suppose to be about this picture? It looks like it is intended to be a zweihander, so it isn’t really incorrectly sized, except maybe that it is a little small.

I can’t even play the video without my PC losing its mind.

Games are ahead of Hollywood in that regard. I can think of at least a couple games that show full frontal male nudity.

The character designs here are way weaker than the final game, but the character’s face are a huge step up from what we ended up getting. Really the faces are only half the battle though. The designs for the armor and aesthetic are super important. Final Drak and final Peebee are way stronger designs than what we see

You mean like the culture where someone would declare all this “weird white people shit” rather than just weird shit?

OMG, thanks for the reminder that I need to finish the Bakemonogatari series. I left off on the alternate timeline episode where the little school girl with the large backpack grew up to be an adult.

If you switch to your powerful pistol, as Mercy, at a point when your team is in peril, you’re playing as the wrong character. If you don’t try and kill a single enemy, regardless of who you’re playing as, you’re playing the wrong game.

I like her! It’s made very explicit at the beginning of the game that she has her own wants and that she’s not just there to be an object. It’s definitely frustrating that she’s in a skintight catsuit, but at the same time, that IS a stereotype of lady burglars and the game is in part a big homage to thief characters.

Exactly, who the hell is playing a game, set in Japan, in any language other the one and only correct language of Japanese?

The Day Breakers is only available with Japanese audio, which in some ways is a shame (because we’re all associating the English voice actors with the Phantom Thieves by now)

because they have vibrators instead?

it’s a series about female ninjas, and caters mainly to dudes who like to see anime girls with big chests.

they’re not ditching it, actually! what it sounds like they’ve done is tweak the system so that it can better differentiate between a “natural” streak (that is, when luck is on your side or laughably against you) and streaks born of unfair practices like smurfing. here’s a full quote from Scott Mercer that I

Excuse me, Luke, but how would YOU feel after running around all day in a costume, phantom thieving like a motherfucking boss? Not to mention considering all the animal abuse Morgana goes through in the game, he has every right to command your ass to bed at the very least.

Persona 5's story and character development just keeps getting better and better. The scene where Morgana talks about cats that can turn into buses is my favorite so far. It’s obviously a cute homage to My Neighbor Totoro.
