Oh god dammit.
Oh god dammit.
Whoa. They need a glamour system STAT. Some of that looks pretty awful. Granted, I’m a player that leans far more toward minimalism and small silhouettes.
Ospreys carrying mechs... dear god that reminds me of Front Mission 4.
Did they ever manage to squeeze in a dedicated support/healer into this game? That’s sort of the only role I care about. I really like the game’s general mechanics and art design but the whole “every man for themselves” type of gameplay was a total let down.
I stand while playing on console regardless. I generally only sit when I’m playing on my PC. Might as well make use of how free the wireless controllers are.
Frankly I simply think you are underestimating the malleability of genres and maybe over valuing the importance of being strict with these definitions. When games start to branch out from the top level archtypes of any given genre things get muddier and muddier. Much like with music. You either have to pile on…
Bungie has directly avoided saying what it is and isn’t in this regard. So it’s up to player to decide. I would say it is a MMO. The structure of it is pretty darn identical to that of Guild Wars, which is a MMO.
How is the character customization? The first game is quite the RPG but the character customization was a definite let down. Just flat out didn’t allow me to craft a character that was worth role playing.
That’s certainly the one thing Destiny 2 hasn’t picked up from other MMOs. The substantial amount of solo content. In a lot of the games there is just as much to keep yourself busy with solo as their is with a group. Destiny has always lacked this.
Mostly to give my pinky something to do. WASD and ESDF are a little too far left so that my pinky has to curl a slightly under my ring finger to get to Z and alt, even with small hands. Moving over to RDFG let’s my pinky rest on Z. Allowing it move around that whole area with more comfort.
All MMOs need transmog/glamour systems.
I did that back before I got a mouse with extra buttons. The mouse buttons are the number pad buttons in most cases. Plus, having to move from the numpad constantly to type messages gets a little tedious.
RDFG player over here...
Just tossing this out there...
Ya it’s a totally different game in solo. I play almost exclusively solo and it’s basically a horror game.
Well, yeah, sure. We all come here for general information gathering as it pertains to the video game current events.
Probably because of how esoteric it appears to be. Half the people in this comment section didn’t even know it was a thing. I sure didn’t. It is completely understandable that the people in Bungie’s art department didn’t know about it either. It really seems like something you would have had to have seen it somewhere…
I’m going to be hopping between two games this weekend.
We need a sequel to that splendid laundromat ad.
TBH, if items flood the store that’s better for those actually wanting the items. It means cheaper prices. I’m all for cheaper prices.
