Well, I’m sort of taking devils advocate here. I’m a PC gamer first and foremost. I’m fine gaming at my desk and that’s the only place I game.
They are, but not really for the layman.
A lot of the times it’s just not sensible to have a gaming PC tower sitting near your TV. As then it means your desk probably isn’t far from it. Not many people, that don’t live alone, would have their desk in the same room as the house TV.
OK, this one might not be as old as those but I’ve never actually played the earlier ones in the series.
I wouldn’t be too sure. WoW and Diablo are filled with achievements you can no longer get because of changes to the game.

When I think about it from a game balance perspective; I don’t mind too much. Not sure I like the idea of a sniper taking pot shots downwards from a house when just the tip of their head is visible.
Yes, it still functions like that. You have to have room to actually aim your gun. Not specifically a first person thing though.
