how do you blink? I also have a very heavy upper lid but I just go with it. I just found out a couple weeks ago that other people do not experience upper eye sweat/heat. It must be nice.
It has never been entirely clear where that purported footage was shot...
“Talking Ponits”?
Listen, if Lord Grantham says that this is a real photo of fetuses arranged in a jaunty way, who are we to argue?
Wut? Who arranges dead fetal tissue into poses like they’re friggin dolls?
-Because it was a clock
Wait, they claimed they though he had a bomb. But these super intelligent teachers and administrators, kept the clock with them, don’t seem to have evacuated the school (I have not seen any mention in articles that this happened), and there was no bomb squad called.
A bunch of people have been asking this on the Gizmodo version of this story. I assume the cops kept it. But he describes it in the video the Dallas Morning News posted.
Uhhhh...it says “hilarious” and “fun” right on it. How bad could it be?
I’m very skeptical of their story. When police take a bomb threat seriously, they evacuate the premises and send in a little robot to investigate/detonate it. This is straight up “this kid is a Muslim and an engineer which means he could grow up to be a bomb-making terrorist, so let’s give him a scare he’ll never…
No images of the clock/not bomb thing?
That’s not a movie bomb. THIS is a movie bomb.
If they really thought it was a bomb, why didn’t they call people who can recognize bombs right away? Couldn’t a member of a bomb squad say, “No, dipshits. Not a bomb.”
I hate GoFundMe. I haaaaaaate GoFundMe. But I feel like starting one to send this kid to MIT.
That poor fucking kid. He must’ve been so proud of what he made and to have his efforts met with such racist suspicion is heartbreaking. He sounds like a great student and every teacher involved in this mess should be thoroughly ashamed.
I mean... yes, kinda? Except that whole plot mainly revolved around the fact that his father (Bilbo Baggins!) was unethically serving as his therapist and putting him on tons of meds he never needed in the first place. So he didn’t actually have mental health issues.
I guess that makes me and anyone who loves this film and soundtrack a loser then? Fuck anyone who can’t just allow other people to love a film. You want to act as though Garden State is terrible? It’s not. Is it the end all be all greatest film of all time? It’s not that either. But to act as though it’s irredeemable…
“There are cases where people on both sides, both of whom I admire equally, are barely able to speak to each other,” said Norman Guthkelch, the pediatric neurosurgeon who first noticed the condition in babies in a 2011 NPR interview, noting that even he recognizes that it is often misdiagnosed”
