What's the harm? They took DNA which is your genetic fingerprint and stored it in some database for nebulous purposes without consent of the parents or individuals involved. It matters because all sorts of confidential information is stored in your DNA. Is this database going to be made available to law

"I mean white people definitely have been staking their claim on land for hundreds of years"

Get over it, work is work, being pregnant at work DOES effect productivity and CAN be bad for business. The stats are there, taking off work constantly for kids ISN'T beneficial for any business. If you don't like the way private companies work, make your own, hire a bunch of pregnant/expectant women and see how that

Same here. Unfortunately, most of my family became overweight as we spent more and more time in the states. Same thing happened to the family in The Kite Runner, if you've read it. Ironically, our waistlines grew as we moved up in class — we were much healthier when we were poor. But the health problems in the U.S.

I have to say that this comment made me a little sad. As someone who occasionally dips in and out of the food shelf and has spent a lot of time volunteering and fundraising for food banks, you can't really brush the hungry with such a broad stroke. There are those of us who used to be in the foie gras and truffle set

Considering that literally everyone quoted was saying that they appreciated getting to try something different for a change, I'm pretty sure no one's complaining.

Rolex: Because Dad doesn't love you enough to introduce you to his custom watchmaker.

I have no trouble believing that the CEO of Pepsi is probably full of herself. But I think the context makes it clear that cutting her down to size was a traditional gender role thing. Here's what you should say if your daughter is made the CEO of Pepsi: "Congratulations, honey! I'm going to run out to the store and

...and I still get side-eyed because I say how bullshit it was that my mother did this to me? At my own wedding?

"I'm the CEO for Pepsi - we can afford to pay someone to get the milk for us"

Also, wtf are you doing, mom? Go get the damn milk yourself!

Maybe it's just a difference in households or cultures but when my mother or father didn't make it to my events or performances etc I never ever had the thought to shame or deride them for it. Even as a child. It was very well understood that Mom or Dad aren't there because someone has to be able to afford all the

AND her husband didn't take initiative on the milk AND her daughter was a jerk-face.

I thought when she was asking for the names of the other non-attendees she was going to contact those parents and suggest something like Class Cocktails - every other Wednesday at 11pm.

No one, ever, can have it all. Men who are CEOs don't have it all, either, we just don't expect them to be active parents, we expect them to have stay at home wives.

This is also the sense I get.

I haven't done the math, but this is not news to me. Aren't like half of Beyonce's songs about being cheated on? Aren't half of Jay's songs about having extra ladies on the side? They've been together forever, I don't think she's writing angry songs about dudes she dated in high school.

Beyonce is a performer, and part of her schtick is making things seem personal regardless of whether or not they are. Most of her loyal stans know she's been married for 12 years, so what better way to stir some buzz and earn cheering and loyalty at concerts than to make this lyrics change? It doesn't necessarily

I can see new show for TLC, Jay and his harem. Or angry none sister wifes.

"But, like, what do we make of all the wedding and pregnancy footage they show during their concerts?"

Their relationship is a packaged product they sell to their fans. Whether it is totally legit or not is anyone's guess, but there is no doubt that this is what they're using to promote themselves now (as opposed to
