The Ride of the Valkyries use threw me. I kept expecting them to show him imagining that he was in Vietnam or something, since it was only the second genre and the first one had distinct visual elements. Overall, the way they depicted the Genre trip was inconsistent and seemed not very-well thought out. The rules were

“You’ve never done anything like this before. Big special effects, tent pole, four-quadrant movie.”

Sounds like he married an agent...

More than just SF. I mean, as far as independent book stores in the US go, it’s City Lights, Powells, and The Strand. And then the rest, all of which are valuable and wonderful resources.

It’s a result of modern TVs doing motion smoothing, essentially adding frames to make live events look better. The result is that films and TV shows look off, specifically the lighting looks artificial like the lower production values of old soap operas. It drives me crazy.

Hmm. Seems like it might have a bit of the soap opera effect happening.

I would generally agree since as a die hard fan of the original lineup, I barely ever spin the last albums.

You’re selling him and Bill short. Oz came up with a lot of great melodies and Bill is the reason that Sabbath fuckin’ *swings*.

Sam & Max Hit The Road is hilarious because it was developed by the creator of the original comic, so the comedic tone and sensibility was there naturally. Come to think of it, he was an artist at LucasArts and had his hand in all the games that were mentioned here. So maybe the secret to a good comedic video game is
