I’m sure they’re fine. My two rescue dogs keep each other company while I’m at work. They spend their time barking at the neighbors, eating empty pizza boxes, and snoozing on the rug/couch/chair/patio furniture. I think mine almost prefer me gone because then I’m not there to yell at them to stop enjoying themselves.
