Actually they didn't, it was their policies they deviated from not the TV..TV...Sports...TV...introduction everyone was given.

It's definitely a Microsoft Media Box before a gaming device.

It is a VIDEO GAME console. Games should come first, anything else should come after. Else it isn't a video game console, just some entertainment device which happens to be able to play games too. Wait...could that actually BE what the XBox One is?

"The first XBOX One TV commercial has...No video Games In It"

They didn't even... Reference games...?

How dare they care about trying to deliver some information about their game to the consumer!

Would be nice if the reporting clarified this. That's a pretty significant distinction.

Technically, they're just the challenge runs of already beaten levels. The Vita version isn't truly missing 28 full levels. And it does have 5 exclusive ones.

Agreed. We'll see how it plays out. They've confirmed they've been using OR dev kits, so hopefully they play fair.

No, this is separate from the Rift. I believe it would be smarter if they and MS worked with OR to bring it to consoles. But it seems both are working on their own thing, MS is just speculation via a patent but yeah. I don't know if it would be a success and seems risky like Sonys 3D tv bundle thing which was just

I don't think there will be official Sony support for the OR. If there is support, it might be Sony allowing third party publishers to support the Oculus on cross platform games that already have support on PC.

Wait...you're more worried about looking silly?

If Sony releases this but doesn't support the OR ... yeah, that would be pretty dickish. Supporting the OR will just get more people to buy a PS4.

If history has taught us anything, its that Sony will never use an open platform if they can force you to use their proprietary alternative.

Sony have been working on these things for a long time. They aren't going to stop just because there is competition.

Probably because they won't make anything from OR. Thus, their own version. But by supporting OR, they don't come off like dicks for making their version mandatory.

It is amazing if the game uses it. The touchpad really helps on Killzone for example. And as the other person stated the devs used it in second son. While a first it feels like a gimmick when yu actually use it, you realize it feels natural and does not hinder your game time at all.

Wow, just read the longer post and ignore the three copy-pasta ones below... I initially tried to send you a post with my phone, but Kinja kept giving me a random error. I got on a PC to type it up instead... And suddenly the shorter phone version popped up not once, but three times.

It's really high quality... Just as good as the touchscreens on the best phones. It's really not comparable to the annoying ones on laptops.
