I lol at people acting like this has never been done before every game company has done it it's as old as games themselves Nintendo and Sega did it now Sony is bringing back the tradition what you should be asking is why isn't Microsoft doing it. Answer because they have nothing they can brag about it's that simple.

Ok Sony.. We get it. Now just concentrate on putting out a good product.

I think this is better than the shots fired during the Gamescom conference. This just looks like someone having fun while mocking a rival company. In a perfect world this would be allright. I like that Sony is confident in what they're doing but I hope they don't get too cocky and lose control of the momentum. It's a

It's not a huh?, but a huh. As in, okay then. It's not a surprise historically speaking, but I expected something more complicated. Maybe they'll surprise me.

I honestly would be more excited for a well-made kart racer than I ever was for any of the other angry bird games. Mario Kart 64 still stands (in my book) as one of the greatest quick-play, multiplayer games ever. It was simple, but had a lot of depth to it if you played enough to figure out its little tricks.

I have written so much about the Rift that it seems I forgot to mention this time around that I was playing on a dev kit and not the final version (as it does not yet exist). My bad. The article has been updated with this information.

I was searching for this info as well thanks!

Very excited. I played the original LP back when it first came out and loved it, even through its repetitiveness. I didn't even bother with the second after the reviews. This sounds like what I was hoping the first game was going to be. It's like if you stuck Spec Ops: The Line in the freezer.

Link might need another one of those bombs to defeat this Dodongo, a classic enemy from The Legend of Zelda games. It's hard to tell who's scarier in digital artist Jason Custer's poster: Link with his bomb or the funky-looking reptilian.

These "googles" are meant for development purposes. The consumer version will be at least 1080p. I wish the author would have mentioned that.

I think it really depends on the gameplay and style of game that you're playing. I'm working on a 3d side-scroller similar to this kind of game right now, and we're taking an approach where the camera follows the player in the manner you mention.

Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking.

That right there is the face of contentment and relaxation. Seems like legit Yoga to me.

Dear Santa,

No worries. As a dev with the rift I can say that working in third person is fine, but camera control does take a bit of finesse to get it right.

This was something had me a little bit worried as I prefer 3rd person views. Most of my favorite games are sidescrollers so this has me feeling a bit better about it. Not that I'm saying I wouldn't want one if they didn't play well.

"Oh no, we're gonna lose a guy who's made a decent game, a retarded game, and a movie, what are we going to?"
