Some of the commune off-gridder anarchists are pretty cool.... they just sort of batch together and do their own thing in nature, which I totally respect. Aggressive, angry people who refuse to see their own hypocrisy annoy me though.

Whether she should or should not be in prison has no bearing on whether someone who is in prison should receive elective surgeries that would not otherwise be paid for for people who are not in prison. Maybe that is a subtle distinction, but it is a notable one.

Dood, I addressed that early on this thread, I was wrong regarding hormones v. surgery and corrected myself. I also never mentioned wheather I thought exposing war crimes was a "crime" so I don't know why you keep harping on it.

Wow, you are seriously conflating the issues here. I didn't say anything about guilt or innocence regarding the wikileaks scandal, war crimes in the middle east, or the American policy towards solitary confinement.

This is not a moralistic issue at all... I'm not trying to shit on trans people.

There are plenty of folks who do not receive the surgery because they don't have the money for it, and live happy lives in the gender of their choice. I don't think our taxes should pay for the surgery when it is, in fact, elective.
