You are kidding, right? Condy Rice did this. So did Colin Powell. Try getting your information from something that’s not a right-wing source once in a while. If something sounds outrageous and unbelievable, it probably is. Investigate a bit instead of relying on Fox News and Breitbart. I’m mostly a leftie but if I see

Well, the government certainly wouldn’t investigate something that turns out to be a huge waste of time and money. So weird. it almost seems like that has happened before, maybe with someone else named Clinton and something that had absolutely no bearing on government business....

Many (I think most) of these emails were classified that way after the fact (just as some of Colin Powell’s and Condoleeza Rice’s emails were classified after the fact). And “top secret” is a matter of interpretation. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/06/us/…

Why bother with facts when you can post an unsubstantiated internet meme?

The placebo effect isn’t really the same as something working. But yes, if people feel better about taking something because of the placebo effect, I have no problem with them taking it. It just seems like a waste of money. And I always find it funny that my same friends and relatives who rail against “big pharma” and

But naturopaths don’t do good in conjunction with other doctors. They don’t do anything, except take your money and hopefully not make you worse. There is no scientific evidence that naturopathy works.

He doesn’t seem to be worrying too much about how he’ll get anything done.

Agreed. I have 2 boys and am kind of happy I don’t have to help a girl navigate being a girl and a woman as it’s so damn complicated. And instead I am doing my part of raise sensitive feminist men so I think that’s a win/win.

It sounds like this guy was the purity-ring type of dad too. In the linked article, it says the girl told the guy she thought was her boyfriend that her dad would kill her if he found out about these photos, and that her life would be ruined. To me, that says she felt her “purity” was very important to her dad.

I would be just fine with the death penalty for this guy. It goes behind the sexual abuse (which is horrible enough) and into such severe fucked up psychological abuse I can’t even fathom it. I don’t know how someone could ever get past this.

“Somewhat oddly, our hostess asks if we’ll be needing a highchair which, yeah, I’m literally holding a toddler and that’s generally what they sit in unless Au Fudge happens to source their furniture from a store specializing in kindergarten classroom decor.”

My son had penoscrotal hypospadias and chordee and had 2 surgeries before the age of 2 to correct it. He’s lucky. He’s done well after his surgeries and most people probably won’t be able to tell he ever had it. But it’s possible he will have complications at some point, and it’s possible (even likely) that boys in

After re-reading this a few times, I thought she was a Bernie supporter, but I like your interpretation better.

I am so, so sorry. Whenever I hear about these cases (which is far too often), I always think about the kid who pulled the trigger and how heartbreaking and unfair it is that the child with have to live with that the rest of their lives.

It’s the kick that requires some muscle, not pulling the trigger. I’ve never shot a handgun, but with a rifle or shotgun, you really have to brace yourself against the gun to keep a solid grip on it after you shoot (some more than others). But if you don’t know anything about guns (for instance, if you are 3 years

Same here. I grew up in rural Kansas with lots of guns around. All were locked up and stored unloaded; ammunition was stored separately; we had endless lectures on how a gun is not a toy (and in fact we weren’t even allowed to point toy guns at each other, because a gun is not a toy); and just in case we did pick up a

I have no idea, but personally I put my kids in car seats out of concern for their lives, not concern for anyone who may be injured if they become projectiles. This is the article that convinced me it was worth it to purchase seats for them: http://siouxcityjournal.com/flight232/year…

The meme doesn’t imply that all men are capable of murder. You inferred that. The meme says “Men are afraid women will laugh at them. Women are afraid that men will kill them.”

Because many of us, especially in the larger cities, have moved away from our families because our small hometowns are not career hubs. So we don’t have family to help, and it’s not to easy to find a kindly old neighbor down the street who will take in your child for a minimal fee, especially if you have any concerns
