I was a stickler on etiquette and I’m fairly certain it’s considered just fine to write “and family” if you don’t know all the names.....though of course that is supposed to be on the inside envelope. Just the adult names go on the outer envelope.

I see your point on the pizza, but any caterer that won’t give you a break on a kids’ meal is an asshole. We had kids’ meals for the kids (I think the choice was chicken nuggets or mac and cheese) and while I don’t remember the pricing, I know it was a big break from the adult meals.

You can’t always see an active outbreak. I have been able to camouflage cold sores in the beginning and end stages of their lives. A full-blown one is pretty tough to hide, but the first day or two, I can usually conceal it with lipstick if necessary.

I registered for a Kitchen Aid and I bake all the time. I was ready to upgrade to a newer one instead of the hand-me-down one from my grandma, even though it worked perfectly. What are you talking about? The majority of this registry is totally reasonable. Yes, there are the crazy items, most of which you highlighted in your article, like the Tiffany straw. But a lot of this looks like my registry, which was (like this) a bunch of kitchen stuff from Sur la Table and Williams and Sonoma.
