Also it helps create cover for Debbie's triumphant reveal in the finale, that beautifully fakes out the in-show and home audiences. One of the greatest meta-moves in any recent TV

maybe spoilery

Oh, Kang thinks Bash's sexuality is FOR SURE closeted. But loves the fact that they keep all the nods juuuuuuust subtle enough that you could see how it would fly under the radar of the other '80's characters.

When Sam sees the venue, Bash shows him the 'sound system'—a keyboard that came 'straight from Casio City'. Unless Kang is mistaken (which is impossible) that's the keyboard she was using.

At first, Kang thought that contrivance in Mark showing up was the single flaw in the episode. But it mirrored inspirational '80's sports movies so perfectly, that I've changed my mind. And it actually serves to set up the finale quite well.

Debbie/Ruth's wrestling training montage with the Lumberjacksons was the best goddamned superhero origin story ever, and Kang loved how the advancement of their training was paralleled by his admiration for the physical acting skill it took for Brie & Gilpin to portray varying levels of athletic comfort

Bash bought (or rented) the keyboard, no?

OK, Kang was wondering if he was high or this was the MOST joyful episode of TV he's seen in a very long time. It wasn't just the weed!

YOU MADE THE TRUMP JOKE KANG RESISTED MAKING AND NOW KANG DOESNT KNOW WHAT TO FEEL

A Netflix show that is concise and leaves you wanting more is the best possible thing to happen to Netflix
—Kang, survivor of 4 out of 5 bloated Netflix Marvel tv seasons

The trickiest thing about Doom in a movie is that you HAVE to include his origin in some fashion ( at least in flashback) because his intimacy with the FF is part of what makes him great— he's the estranged fifth Beatle. (Calling IW 'Susan', etc.).but you can't base a plot around his origin entirely because it's so

Hey, Kang says fuck you too, pal

Agreed, but Richards has ALWAYS been portrayed as somewhat head-in-the-clouds. He doesn't have to be on the spectrum. Kang always thought a smart story choice for a movie would be for Reed to do something reckless and get stranded in another world/dimension while the FF had to locate and rescue him— The audience

Someday, Ben. Someday.

Well, 1960's Reed was incredibly condescending and sexist towards Sue, but doubtful that Hollywood will keep that characterization (though it would provide more interesting material for Sue)

Actually, Reed already has a decent character hook: He's the world's smartest man by a factor of a thousand but he's completely distracted/absent-minded and not great at social interaction. There's plenty a gifted actor can do with that.

If you can make Captain America fucking awesome (and Chris Evans is Fucking Awesome) you can make Reed Richards funny/compelling

Kang had never seen Gilpin in anything before… He came to GLOW as a hardcore Community/Alison Brie fan. She's a revelation! A complete knockout! Her ability to make Debbie a fully-rounded human being in the body of a golden amazon is crucial to making the show work so well

Get to episode 7.

Kang was never much of a wrestling fan, but has really appreciated the show's genuine affection for it— It's not just a springboard for quirky-feminist-themed dramedy antics. The script and the actors really do a good job of showing how much goes into the training and choreography. The training scenes in episode 7
